The organizers will hold a discussion about mutual respect and life in a new multicultural world, about issues of xenophobia and possible solutions of those problems with the help of young people.
In February the project "RESPECT. Comics from different countries" presents the results of collaborative work of 9 leading comics artists from Russia and Europe. After 5-day workshop at the International festival of drawn stories "KomMissia" in May, 2011 each one of them created his own drawn story on the subject "respect". "You don't have to love you neighbor, just begin to respect him" — that's informal motto of RESPECT.
The audience of the project is young people in the first place, including high school students, college students and university students. The objective is to talk about actual social problems and tolerance in accessible and colorful language of drawing.
